We're based in Millom on the South Cumbrian coast, but our crews operate outward across the whole region. That covers urban centres — Carlisle, Barrow-in-Furness, Workington, Penrith, Whitehaven — Lake District tourist hubs at Windermere, Ambleside and Coniston, the rural Eden Valley, the West Cumbrian coast, the Furness peninsula and every village and farm holding in between.

Cumbria's building stock spans Lakeland slate, sandstone (sometimes red, sometimes grey), Georgian render, Victorian terraced brick, post-war social housing, modern timber-frame, and a high concentration of listed and conservation-area properties. Each material asks something specific of the scaffolding around it. Soft Lakeland slate doesn't tolerate impact loading; sandstone facades on Penrith and Whitehaven coastal properties need non-percussive ties; flood-zone properties on the Derwent and Cocker rivers need scaffolds that can be erected and struck quickly when a weather event is incoming.

Every scaffold we erect is designed and inspected to current TG20:21 / TG30:23 industry guidance, our installers are CISRS-trained, public liability and employers' liability insurance certificates are supplied with every quote, and weekly inspection logs run for the entire time the structure is in service. For commercial, public-sector and insurance-led work, we provide the full RAMS pack and scheme drawings as standard.

Pricing depends on the size of the structure, how long it's needed, and any specialist requirements such as heritage tying, hanging schemes or bridging spans. For a typical domestic re-roof scaffold left up two to four weeks, expect a price in the £600–£1,400 range. Commercial and heritage jobs are quoted individually. Every quote we issue is a fixed price — no extras for standard erection and dismantle.
For standard jobs across South Cumbria and the Furness area, we typically erect within five working days of quote acceptance. For West Cumbria, the Eden Valley and the further reaches of the county allow up to two weeks during busy periods. Every scaffolder on our team is CISRS-trained (Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme — the recognised UK qualification standard). We don't use untrained labour and we don't subcontract erection out.
